Silent Sam and the Evans are a trio based out of Portland, Maine.  Drawing on rock, blues, folk and bluegrass influences they strive to make music that is new and engaging while retaining the roots that they love.  Chase of ‘the Evans’,  is the main singer, songwriter and founder of the group, having penned all of our original tunes.  A guitar and mandolin player for years and years he continues to assimilate new musical styles into his own personal sound.  Killer bass player, instrument maker and generally cool dude Sam has been part of this project from the beginning. Whether it’s on his upright, rubber band, cigar box or rock basses (or even some slide guitar) you can be sure that Sam will be holding it down.  Casas of ‘the Evans’,  is the drummer, secondary vocalist and electronic and audio engineering guru for the group.  His rhythmic ideas add a dynamic and exciting aspect to our music that they couldn’t do without!
