The Portland Rhumba Project formed in summer 2012 to play dance music shaped and influenced the great bands of central and southern Africa.  They write, record and perform original music as well as classic radio hits from Zimbabwe and beyond.  Matt Wasowski (guitar, vocals), Damon Holman (bass, vocals), Frank Tutwiler (guitar) and Cameron Lopez (drums, vocals) are soon to release an EP entitled “Driving in Accra” and will be appearing throughout Maine this summer.
