Hersey State is comprised of the members of the Portland’s Hersey Street house: Emily Dixxx Thomas, Eric Schwan, Ed Kniseley, Dave Noyes, and often Patrick Corrigan and Randy Illian, strumming, stomping, chanting and singing together to create a uniquely Maine folk sound. They have been compared to the New Lost City Ramblers, the Original Harmony Ridge Creekdippers and the Holy Modal
Rounders.
