The Corner: “Labor”

-

At our best, we see work that needs to be done and we do it. The job may be exciting or tedious, enjoyable or unpleasant, celebrated or unsung, well-compensated or underpaid.  When the job is over, it may be long remembered, as with the first responders 13 years ago, and also the passengers on United Flight 93.  Other times, the work is forgotten, along with the worker, as soon as the task is completed.  But no matter what, when the work must be done, someone usually steps up to do it.  These workers are whom we celebrate on Labor Day.  And it’s their stories of work that we’ll engage with during this opening night of the second Corner season.  Craft your story, and come ready to tell it.  Here’s how.

(Even if you aren’t ready to tell a story, come be part of the audience.  It’s fun.  But be aware that some stories may include adult themes and adult language.  All potential audience members should use their discretion, especially those who care for young children.)
