We’re told (by Wikipedia) that Heraclitus wrote that “everything flows, nothing stands still.” More colloquially, it’s often said that if you don’t like the weather in Maine, then wait five minutes. More generally, it’s “here today and gone tomorrow.” In short, things change. Life gets better and life gets worse. Some people try to improve circumstances, sometimes succeeding and sometimes making everything worse in the process. Because change is a universal part of the human experience, you all have stories about change, some funny, some scary, some poignant. Think about them all, and then pick a good one, and come tell the rest of us. No matter what, come hear others’ stories on The Corner. For more information on how to tell your story, go here.
NOTE–For this next installment of The Corner, we’ll be joined by special guest teller Shannon Cason. Based out of Chicago, Shannon is a Moth Grand Slam winner, and he’s also told on NPR’s Snap Judgment. He’ll be one of our pre-picked tellers and will close out the evening. It’s gonna be good fun. If you’ve not seen Shannon, you can see one of his videos on our multimedia page. (Special thanks to all our Kickstarter and other supporters for making such events as this possible.)
