The mission of the Bluestocking Film Series is to encourage and promote production by filmmakers of narratives built upon strong, complex female protagonists. These are characters who are as fully-developed, heroic, complex, and flawed as their male counterparts. We select cutting edge and provocative films that explore women’s relationships with one another. Starting at 7:30pm on March 20th, Maine Microcinema will be hosting a selection of work produced by Maine-based directors featured in the Bluestocking Film Series. Directors will be present for Q&A.
