The Co-op proudly features a contrasting collection of material and deliveries among its members. The Co-op welcomes special guest headliner, Troy Pennell, to this month’s lineup. Pennell, a regular at Portland’s new Big Easy Comedy Club, is a frequent opener for Bob Marley and Krazy Jake and has been featured on The Tony James Podcast. Aharon’s deadpan persona and ukulele songs offsets James’ exasperated musings; Joe’s reserved one-liners covering controversial material are a foil to Will’s bits about his experience working with behaviorally challenged youths and his recent foray into fatherhood; and 2012’s Portland’s Funniest Professional Jordan Handren-Seavey brings an analytical approach to joke writing and a conversational delivery that sets him apart from Travis Curran’s stories about his alarmingly frequent awkward encounters. Each comic brings the audience with him on a different road, but the audience always ends up laughing at the same destination.
